The buildings in the Ninth Ward have smaller houses which are not as elegant as houses in other areas.
Majority of the Ninth ward was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina and still has to rebuild.
The majority of people who live in this area are lower income or poverty level houses.
The Lower ninth ward is down River and is one of the larger districts in New Orleans. It is also below Sea Level.
This part of the city was made in the 19th century but majority of the houses are no longer standing.
